About Us

 

Peacock Photo and Video  is an award-winning mother-daughter team offering both photography and videography services.  We work together whenever possible but also book separately to offer the same quality of images at an affordable cost.  We believe that it’s not just about capturing the best photograph but also about making your wedding day everything that it should be.   We truly love weddings and understand that of all the photos you will have taken in your life, these will probably be the most important ones that you will look at over and over and share with you children and grandchildren.  We delight in capturing the spirit of your day- from the smallest details to the biggest moments.  We pride ourselves in offering elegant, timeless images- seamlessly blending the modern with tradition.  We have worked at some of the most premier venues in Atlanta and the Southeast including Sea Island, The Biltmore, The Mansion at Forsyth (Savannah), the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort, Callanwolde, Cherokee Country Club, Reynolds Plantation on Lake Oconee, the Piedmont Driving Club, Serenbe, the Ford Plantation, & the Fernbank Museum of Natural History.   We belong to the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International, Professional Photographers of America, were voted one ot the best vendors by "The Knot" for 2010 and have recieved the Bride's Choice Award for both 2011 and 2012 for excellence in the wedding industry.   Continuing to learn new things and grow in our skills is an important part of what we feel that we're about.  Outside of the time that we spend with our wonderful families, there is nothing that we’d rather do than be able to be a part of your wedding day.

 

About Debbie

 

Debbie Peacock majored in Fine Arts at the University of Georgia and began making movies and taking photographs more than two decades ago.  Her work has appeared in Elegant Island Weddings, Atlanta Seasons Magazine, Golden Isles Magazine,the Knot, the Atlanta Journal and Northside Neighbor and her work was featured in the Best of Weddings 2008 photography competition.  In addition to her photography & videography skills, Debbie is well known for making both brides and even camera-shy grooms feel comfortable in front of the lens.  In her free time, she enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with family, but keeps a camera in hand no matter what the activity!

 

About Lauren

 

Lauren's love for photography began in high school where she would spend countless hours in the darkroom and was featured in several photography exhibitions.  With a degree in art history from Duke University and a background in Interior Design, she brings a keen eye for the aesthetic to her work.  Lauren recently got married in the summer of 2008 and fully appreciates the desire of brides to have all of their hard work and planning captured to enjoy forever.  Lauren is a member of  Wedding & Portrait Photographers International and frequently attends photography workshops and seminars across the country. In her free time, Lauren enjoys traveling, going to concerts, playing with her golden retriever, and cheering on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets with her husband, Chap.
