I found my dress at LaRaine's after searching at over a dozen other salons. As soon as I walked through the door, I had a feeling I'd find my dress there! Their selection is amazing and exactly what I was looking for. They only allow up to 4 people to come with you and only 1 person gets to look for dresses with you, but they made that very clear up front. Their dressing rooms are amazing! My guests — my mom, grandma and 2 bridesmaids — got to sit on plush couches in a curtained off area next to the dressing room. I got to work with LaRaine and she was great about listening to what I wanted as well as what I liked and didn't like about each dress that I tried on. I finally tried on a dress by Lis Simon, a designer that I had never heard of or seen at any other store. It was gorgeous and, though not what I had originally had in mind, it was PERFECT! LaRaine took my measurements and when the dress came in, it was almost perfect except for the bust. Carine, the seamstress, was awesome and genuinely cared about the dress fitting just right! I had a great experience and would definitely recommend LaRaine's!!

I found the dress of dreams at LaRaines as well as my veil, earrings and hair pins. However, after I purchased my dress and received the experience was HORRIBLE! When I went in initially the consultant I received was very helpful and made the appointment great. By the time the dress came in the consultant no longer worked there. From then on it was very hectic and unorganized. When I bought my dress there were straps and it was not fitted. LaRaine herself assured me that we could make the dress strapless as well as fitted. When my dress came in and I went in for alterations, I dealt with LaRaine herself. She continued to tell me that the alterations that were needed were "impossible" and that I would have to wear the dress "as is". As is meant that when I raised my arms the dress fell to the floor. She was not helpful, rude and no longer worried about what needed to be done. It was obvious that as soon as the sale was made she didn't care about what she promised could be done. The appointment resulted in me taking my dress home with me and having another seamtress do the necessary alterations. The dress was altered to be exactly what I wanted it to be...strapless and fitted. I DO NOT recommend doing business with LaRaines. The customer service is horrible and once you make your purchase they do not care anymore!

So LaRaine's was... not great. Initially, I was very excited to go to LaRaine's as I live in the neighborhood and had seen the beautiful dresses in the window for years. My first visit was great. The sale girl was very helpful, no pressure, gave me lots of attention and didn't rush me. They also ask me about my budget too, which I liked, so I wasn't looking at dresses I couldn't afford. I found two dresses I liked and made an appt to come back with Mom. When I returned for a second visit, the sales girl had moved away and we dealt with LaRaine who was pretty push and seemed annoyed that I was having a hard time deciding. I felt really flustered as she pushed and pushed for me to buy this one dress that I only kind of liked. Eventually, she assured me that the dress could be altered and I would like it better after the pre-made sash was removed and tool taken out and the bottom tapered. She also pushed me to order the dress couture, as in made exactly for my measurements. I didn't want to do this b/c I didn't have shoes (so I didn't know how long I wanted the dress to be) but she was so pushy, I did it anyway. She told me it would save us lots of money on alterations - it didn't, we still had to have major alterations done when the dress arrived. So fast forward 6 months, the dress comes in and it doesn't fit. We paid extra to have the dress made to my measurements (I've been 117lbs for 10 years, it's not like I changed size here) and it was too big. I had my first fitting with the seamstress, pre-paid for the alterations she suggested and when I came back for fitting appt #2 none of the alterations were done. Everything was still pinned. At the end of the process, the alterations were very poorly done, the seamstress TORE the Chantilly lace on my dress and left a big hole in the lining of the bust. I paid for alterations that were never done. The seamstress lost my sash that went with the dress and called to tell me she had lost it 2 DAYS BEFORE MY WEDDING. There was a huge seam at the waist that the sash was covering. I had spent weeks searching high end fabric stores in Atlanta to find just the right sash, right color, right width, material, length. And they lost my sash, 2 DAYS before my wedding. I was devastated - and panicked as I had to find a new one 48 hours before the service. On another note, I had planned to wear a friend's veil and at the last minute, she couldn't find it. I called the Salon to see if I could come in and buy a veil off the display rack. The girl working was very nice and got LaRaine's permission to sell me a sample veil. I actually choose a veil that LaRaine had made & she was kind enough make me a veil over night (though I paid extra for the rush making - but no prob). I was grateful that she was accommodating in this area. So over all, the sales girls seem nice and knowledgeable, LaRaine is pushy and impatient, and the seamstress is not very good. Things seemed a little unorganized. The salon does have very nice dresses from good designers and a good variety in prices.

I love my wedding dress that I purchased from Raines. It was perfect for me and no other stores carried that designer. I worked with the owner a lot on fittings and buying. They have beautiful dresses at the store and I will miss going there.

I went looking for my dress last summer and having lived in the VA Highlands, La Raines was one of the bridal stores on my list. Although I was the only one in the store at the time trying on dresses, they acted as if I they were busy and didn\'t have time for me. The experience was horrible and the bridal consultant extremely rude. I said I was looking for a ruched dress with bling because it would look good on my full frame. My price was $1,500-2k. After I tried on my 5 dresses they kicked me out even though there wasn\'t\' anyone else in the store. Worst part is the consultant insisted I try on an ugly dress with no bling...and then she counted it as one of my 5 dresses. My mother and I left the store very upset. I even called the manager the next day to complain. No bride should ever have to have her dress shopping experience make her want to cry and give up! It should be a good experience.

My friend had recommended that I try this bridal store. The first day the sales person was super nice and booked us an appointment immediately to come back later that day to try on dresses. To make a very long story short. I ended up finding the dress of my dreams their due to the vast selection and the day that I walked in they were having a trunk show. However, it seemed as though once they new I had find my dress it was all downhill after that. Poor customer service, terrible prices on alterations. I drove over an hour and a half, had confirmed my alterations for that day and when I got their they thought I just wanted to "try on" the dress and look at it in the mirror and accused me, stating that "If you would have suggested you wanted alterations and not a fitting we would have known." Wow! I was completly shocked...this is not my speicality. Anyways, So we got another date back on the calander after trying on my dress. I asked what the complete price was and I wanted to make sure that NOTHING was being left out, so I confirmed again, when they gave me the price, I said " does this price include, absolutey eveything...because my dad gave me a certain dollar amount that he wanted me to stay under.... Well the sales agent said oh yes, nothing else, everything is included. I came back a week later for my fitting, once again driving over an hour. I had to wait 30minutes for the alterations lady to get there. After She arrived and pinned me, I was informed that I would have to pay for the alternations which would be an addiitonal $600.00. Once again I confronted LaRaines husband, which is absollutely the rudest man I have ever met and said that the sales lady said everything was included...he argued and called me out in front of a client to the point I starting crying...then insult after insult the alterations lady said that she denied doing my buisness if she wasn't worth the $600.00. So I ended up taking my dress and finding a local alternations lady that only charged me $150 and did an absolute amazing job and I had more money in my pocket.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND LARAINES BRIDAL BOUTIQUE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, ALTERATIONS. ALTHOUGH I FOUND MY DRESS, IF I HAD IT TO GO OVER AGAIN, I WOULDN'T HAVE PUT MYSELF THROUGH THE STRESS.

I found my dream dress at LaRaines but I was a little nervous about buying from them due to some reviews I had read online. I went ahead and purchased the dress and I absolutely loved my experience there. My dress came in a month before expected and they were wonderful during my fittings. LaRaine was there for every one of my fittings and she spent so much time with us. Her alterations department worked wonders with my dress and made it fit perfectly. I never felt rushed during my appointments and the staff was always so helpful. I would definitely recommend LaRaines to any bride in Atlanta!

LaRaines Bridal boutique has wonderful dresses for a lot of price ranges. My salesgirl was very helpful. I like the fact that they focus on one bride during their appointments unlike some boutiques where you see 10 girls wandering around with wedding gowns on. The only problem was although I had an appointment with them, one time I had to wait for 35minutes at the waiting room, and I felt it was not professional on their end. Also, I did not do my fitting there. I felt the fitting was a little pricey. I took my dress to my regular tailor, and she did a great job in fitting for a lot cheaper. Overall, it's a very nice boutique, and I believe that a bride can find her dream dress there.

I've read some of the other reviews and have to disagree! My salesgirl was great...she actually found the dress for me, based on a few others I had tried on. I tried on essentially the same dress elsewhere (different designers, same general design) and LaRaine's price blew the others out of the water...especially considering the other, more expensive dresses, were the same fabric. I thought LaRaine was great! She was very realistic -- she ordered the dress size so that I wouldn't have to diet just to fit in it! Caron also did an EXCELLENT job on my alterations! I had a neckline changed and when all was done, it looked like it was the original cut of the dress. I also thought the price for alterations was very reasonable...especially considering the quality of service. I also got my veil there and they were very helpful with picking it out. And their little dog is adorable :)

I went in looking for a short wedding dress. My only requirement was that it be white and somewhat simple. The sales person I had was very nice, but had me try on a couple crazy gowns, but my fiance found them entertaining. I found a dress I fell in love with, but the fabric didn't come in white. When I asked about a different fabric LaRaine started trying to convene me I should give up on wanting white to get the nicer fabric. At that point both my fiance and I were upset and I decided to take my business elsewhere.

They have beautiful dresses. Service is great when selling the dress but when it comes to alterations forget it. I love my dress but I did pay way to much for it and the alteration fees were insane! Pray you never have to deal with LaRaine herself all the other staff members are much nicer. Overall, great dresses that will cost a lot with service that's great if there is no alterations needed.

I had a great experience with LaRaines and would highly recommend buying a dress there, with a few cautions. I went with two of my friends for my appointment and had a wonderful time with some attention and help from both LaRaine and a salesperson. I found LaRaine far more invested and helpful. She wants things done her way, but she also has a lot of knowledge and expertise. Take her advice with a grain of salt - it's probably good, but ultimately, it's her opinion but your wedding. I found a beautiful dress that I absolutely loved and it was the third one I tried on. I tried on about 40 others at two different stores but the one at LaRaines was the one! I got it half off because it was a floor sample - I had a smaller budget and only about 4 months before the wedding. LaRaine, Coron, and my friends came up with a few excellent design changes that improved, fixed small imperfections, and personalized the dress. Coron worked with me on the fittings and was a pleasure! She's wonderful and does work wonders. I felt so beautiful and also like myself in the dress, and she fit it to me perfectly! LaRaine was a bit stuffy and snooty, but also excited and sweet at times. I did run into the problem of some of her ideas not being clearly communicated to Coron and then LaRaine being out of town, and it was very helpful to have my friend with me who remembered what we had talked about. I was thrilled with my dress and happy with my experience.

I was torn about choosing LaRaine's in the first place as one of my dear friends had such a horrible experience that she said, "I didn't feel pretty in my wedding dress for how much they screwed things up." Having talked to other brides who had favorable experiences, I took my chances. I was wrong to do so. Like some of the other posters, originally I loved my dress. The sales person was exceptionally helpful, and LaRaine did help to order the appropriate size for me. They do have a good selection. Everything else was a nightmare. Here are the facts:- Both LaRaine and her alterations person could not figure out why the dress was bunching up on me in the abs section, etc. After several visits, this was fixed, yet not perfect.- At one such fitting, I was wearing the dress, and LaRaine and the seamstress were pinning the midsection at my navel level. LaRaine looked down and said, "Is that blood?" Sure enough, one of them had gotten themselves with the needle and had bled where my belly button is. I get that accidents happen. What gets me is that there was no apology, just a "this happens all the time - brides don't normally see it" and a spot on my dress about the size of a dime. They worked with peroxide and other things to get the spot out which left a faint ring of brown. In this and subsequent fittings, I could still see the spot - though they told me I was seeing things and that they could not see the spot. Again, no apology at all, just an attitude that they do what they can in such situations and so be it. - Upon pickup of the dress, the seamstress was not there, so there was no explanation as to the tacking that my mother and/or friends would need to do to get the fabric to lie down.- LaRaine informed me that she would press the dress the night before I was scheduled to leave, but that she wouldn't have it ready until the next day - so I delayed my departure time by several hours. - Upon taking the dress out of the garment bag once I arrived at our location (3 hours drive) there was a 5 inch dual crease pressed into the back of the dress (over the left buttcheek). FYI - there are not to be creases on this part of the dress. Upon e-mailing LaRaine's asking for some kind of explanation, expressing my disappointment and frustration (and tears), there was no response. Take from this what you will.

Getting my dress at LaRaine's was one of the best decisions I made during my wedding planning! They made us feel comfortable from the time we got there to the time we left! They let you choose some dresses to try on and then the consultant brings you two dresses to try on. "The One" was the first one the consultant brought me! I was so impressed with their professionalism, and they helped me look absolutely beautiful on my wedding day! They even helped my mom find a dress in 3 weeks! I recommend LaRaine's to every bride!

I do not know where to even begin with LaRaines Boutique. This was the best experience I could have ever asked for! I ordered my dress in December and I got married in March. The dress was put on a rush order and everything went perfectly. I had honestly and truly the best people working with me. They made me feel so special. Sandy was the salesperson that helped me with my dress. Sandy and Laraine took good care of me that day. I was feeling a little sad that day because I was picking out my dress myself and my family lives in Delaware. After my dressed arrived I spent every Sunday at the boutique for my fittings. Everyone that works there knew me by name and I felt so special because they loved my dressed. Karoon is the lady with the magic hands!!! She transformed my dress into exactly what I wanted it to be. I can not put into words how beautiful my dress was! Karoon was so sweet and so great. She is super talented. LaRaines boutique is the one and only place to get a wedding dress!

I have to start by saying that the sales person I worked with was wonderful, it is LaRaine that was awful. To be brief ...she measured me with my clothes on and ordered my dress 3 sizes too big, she was rude and condescending. She sent a bridesmaid dress to the wrong person. They never checked the dresses over before shipping them and one had a big dye stain on the skirt. I asked her several questions about my dress before ordering which she answered. I came to find out she lie about several just to squeeze more $ out of me. When I bought the dress they said that their average alteration runs $400 for a dress with LOTS of lace and beading and because mine had neither it would be a lot less, when The dress came in they told me $600. I had it done else where for $150. All in all she is a miserable person to deal with and has a horrid personality too boot. If I wouldn't have absolutely loved my sales girl I would have run screaming from the store!

The best selection of dresses! And I would know...I went all over the state of Georgia looking for dresses...Savannah, Statesboro, and Atlanta. The staff was very friendly and had LOTS of dresses for any budget. I found the dress of my dreams there. I tried on a dress ... the first time to try on a bridal dresses, just for fun while I was in Atlanta on Christmas break. Long story short, I tried on LOTS of other dresses in the town that I lived, Savannah...and nothing compared to the dress at LaRaines. So I decided to buy the dress and make the trip back and forth several times for fittings just because the dress was perfect! A long trip is worth it for the perfect dress! and Korin, Head of Alterations, is awesome too. She knew I was traveling from Savannah, so she was flexible and cut down the amount of times I had to drive to savannah. and the last fitting, I came, she worked on it, i went to dinner, and when i got back it was finished! She works wonders!

OK, so here's the deal with LaRaines - contrary to others, I thought LaRaine was great (her husband, too). And they have a great selection of dresses in all price ranges - even the reasonable ones. It's the alternations, and Corone (sp?), that are problematic. One of the reasons I fell in love with my dress was the unique way that LaRaine suggested for the bustle when I first tried it on. When it came time to do the alterations, LaRaine pinned it up, but Corone actually did the alterations and she did them ALL wrong. LaRaine was out of town and I couldn't get Corone to get it right. Long story short, I ended up with about 12 inches of dress dragging on the floor behind me AFTER it was fully bustled - it's the one thing about my otherwise perfect wedding day that really makes me want to cry when I think about it. Totally unprofessional - but I ran out of time and had to take the dress as it was, since my wedding was out of town. Moral of the story - go buy your dress there; but get your alterations done somewhere else.
