Orpheus and Aphrodite Music and Photography

The one request my son-in-law made about his wedding was for live music. Thus my quest for a great band at a reasonable fee began. When we found Band of Gold right here in Lawrenceville we were blown away. Our guests still rave that it was the best time they have had at any reception, including their own! Band leader Kris's wife is the photographer, and we are so grateful we hired her as well. She used our venue, the Payne-Corley House, to perfection and captured images that are pure artwork. Pictures were the most important aspect of our budget, and Terrilyn performed spectacularly. I cannot recommend this duo any higher...overall rating a 5? Heck, I'd give them a 10.

Band of Gold was referred to me by a friend and I can not thank her enough! Band of Gold went above and beyond all my expectations. I am stilling getting comments weeks later about how great the band at my wedding was. They got the guests involved and dancing which is one of the reasons my wedding was so great. The range of music they can play gets all age groups and all types of people involved: from Willie Nelson to Justin Timberlake to The Beatles. Kris acted as MC when needed and he did a great job. I can not say enough positive things about how great Band of Gold is!

Band of Gold was SOOOOO fun! They kept our guests dancing the entire evening even through all their breaks. Kris was wonderful to work with. I gave him a list of about 10 special/quirky things I wanted done during the reception and he did ALL of them! Don't bother looking at any other bands. This one is the BEST!

My husband was in charge of selecting the DJ for our wedding, and I could not be happier with his choice. Kris was awesome. He was so professional, and he kept everyone on the dance floor all night. I had a lot of questions the week leading up to the wedding, and Kris would answer all of my e-mails in a timely manner. In addition, we had the keyboardist for the reception, and he was great, as well! I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone looking to have a great, fun, wedding!

This is the BEST BAND EVER! They made the reception so much fun and we danced the night away. I still get compliments about how great our wedding was and I owe it all to Band of Gold. Thank you guys!

When planning my wedding, I stressed a lot about finding a DJ. The last thing I wanted was a cheesy wedding DJ that loved to hear themselves talk. When I first met with Kris, I knew he was perfect. He listened to everything I wanted and I could tell that he actually cared. Kris did a fantastic job at the reception. He kept everything flowing, and in a perfect order. The party never stopped. He played every song on my list and also played the perfect music for every age group. Everyone danced, which made me happy. I couldn't have asked for a better DJ. Thank you Kris!!

When my daughter insisted on having a band versus a DJ for her wedding I was skeptical of its value compared to the cost. However, I changed my mind as soon as I attended a "preview" session in their studio. Their role in her wedding was instrumental to its tremendous success and fun shared by all who attended. Not only are they talented musicians, they are experienced in orchestrating the entire wedding experience, from the ceremony music to the last dance. I believe they had as much fun as we did.I can't remember giving all 5's when rating a service or product, but I cannot do otherwise rating the "Band of Gold."

This band is amazing! There is no need to look for another. They are the best people to work with! They play amazing music and are so talented. I want to have another reception just to have them play!!!!

We were absolutely thrilled with BOG! We had 175 guests, and the comment we kept hearing all evening was, "Where did you find the band? They're great!" The dance floor was constantly filled with guests of all ages, making for a really fun evening. Thanks so much, Kris and band members. You made our reception a huge success!

This band is the one! There is no need to search for another band! I am a perfectionist and like all brides wanted the big perfect wedding and reception. So we searched for months (and I do mean months) and finally came across Atlanta Band of Gold. I really liked everything about them before we even met them. The only thing I did not like about my experience was the two hour drive to their studio to listen to them during their open house. But I am SOOOO glad we drove up because they were GREAT!! I knew after the first 30 seconds of listening to them that they were our band. I was excited all the way home which made the two hour drive back go by much faster! We had a wedding reception with 160 people with people in all age groups. We had so many "experienced" wedding goers tell us this was the best band they had ever heard. We LOVE this band and will definitely recommend them to anyone! If we ever need a band for anything we will call BOG!

WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!! I can't say enough good things about Orpheus/Band of Gold! Everyone had a wonderful time at our wedding! Kris is so accomodating and responsive! This guy was fantastic. He never missed a beat (no pun intended). We requested out of the ordinary songs (school fight song, etc.) and he did not let us down. Fantastic and super nice guy!

They did a wonderful job at our wedding. The music was perfect! I think what's even more great about they is his flexibility and professionalism. We asked they to play several new songs that weren't on his list and he incorporated them beautifully into our ceremony. This included incorporating a fun little number for our officiant's (who was also our friend) entrance. they even stayed a bit longer to play more songs during the cocktail hour. They made a magical day just perfect. Very professional, quick to respond, and easy to work with.

Kris and the Band of Gold did a fantastic job at our daughter's wedding reception. They were friendly, professional and really engaged the crowd. They were great to work with from the very beginning of the planning process and kept in contact with us over the months to make sure they had our needs on their radar. We thought the evening was perfect and we extend our many thanks for their wonderful musical part in making our wedding experience truly wonderful!

There is no need to search for another band to play at your wedding. These people were fantastic. We had a wedding reception with 150 people that started at 8:30 pm and went to 1:00am. Kris and the band kept everything hopping: The music was varied and perfect; the lead singer was fantastic; Kris was the ultimate professional. EVERY single guest spoke to me about how great they were - heck we never had a dead spot on the dance floor and probably 95% of the guests stayed till closing. Even the photographer and event planner at the hotel told me how perfect these guys were. And at breaks they interacted with the party!And, besides adding a new song to their playlist for my daughter's 1st dance with her husband, they, as a surprise for me, added a Zepplin tune just because I mentioned how that would be MY prefernce for the reception.Price; Professionalism; Pride in their work and Peace of mind for me - the 4 P's for a wedding/party band!

This band is the best band, We were so happy with everything they did, the music was great, the band was so freindly they were everything they said they would be and even better. I hired the band over the internet and was real worried about that, but they were better then I thought they would be. They made our day very special. Thank you and all of your band for a wonderful day and you really kept the dance floor full. If I ever need a band for anything I will call you .

Atlanta Band of Gold was amazing. Kris was so easy to work with and I couldn't have asked for it to have gone any better than it did. They played great songs for all ages. Our guest are still talking about what a great band months later. Thanks guys for such a great reception!!

We loved everything about these guys!! They made getting ready for the reception easy by sending us lists of songs to choose from. Any song we wanted that they did not know how to play the would play during the breaks when Kris was being a DJ. Everyone loved them and people I have never seen dance before where up on the dance floor shaking it. I would love to go to another party where they were playing!

These two are AMAZING!!! I can't say enough positive things about these them.Terrilyn was excellent with people. She is so creative and captured every aspect of the day. I am so pleased with how our pictures turned out. I would recommend her to ANYONE!!Kris was our DJ. He did a wonderful job getting people out on the dance floor by even joining in. He had a wide range of available songs. He was also very flexible in playing and not playing what I wanted. I would recommend him to ANYONE!!!

Where do I start? BOG was the best wedding band EVER! My wife and I have been too many weddings so we knew what the competition looked like. From the first time we met BOG we knew they were going to play our wedding. The fact that they could play any style of music and really loved performing was what caught our attention. We actually used all of the musical services they offer. We used the flute and keyboard combo for the ceremony, which turned out beautifully. Then BOG took over with the Band/DJ combo. The DJ was on for the introductions and anytime the band took a break. The funniest thing about our wedding is at one point my wife and I snuck away for a private breather from everyone and when we came back we saw all the seating was empty, it was toward the end of the wedding, and we were sad because we thought people had left. Little did we know that when we looked up we would see our entire family and friends grooving on the dance floor. I am pretty sure the dance floor was full for the entire party. At the end of the night we really were taken back by how good BOG was and were so happy that we choose them to share our special day. They really worked hard on playing the things that we liked and they really felt the crowd. I think the band might have had just as much fun as we did, and that tells me they not only love what they do but they really care about everyone having a great time. Don't lose out on choosing Band of Gold for your event!
